Description
Three Phase Energy Meter Calibration Verifier ll METES 3.5
Three-Phase Energy Meter Calibration Verifier
The METES 325 is a portable three-phase energy meter calibration and verification instrument designed for accurate testing of electronic and Ferraris energy meters. It is particularly suitable for field verification, commissioning, maintenance, and applications involving pre-payment energy meters.
The instrument combines precise electrical measurements with a compact, rugged, and fully waterproof design. Its touchscreen interface provides simple access to test parameters and measurement results, while the onboard memory allows test data to be stored for later reporting and archiving.

The waterproof housing is designed to accommodate the sensors, wiring, optical pickup, and associated accessories within the same case, making the complete testing setup convenient to transport and suitable for demanding field conditions.
Energy Meter Verification
The instrument provides dedicated functions for verifying energy meter accuracy and detecting calibration errors. The measured percentage error can be displayed directly, allowing technicians to quickly assess meter performance in the field.
Instantaneous Measurements
The system measures and displays important electrical parameters for each phase as well as total system values, including:
- Voltage
- Current
- Phase angle
- Active power (W)
- Reactive power (var)
- Apparent power (VA)
Current Measurement
The unit is supplied with three clamp-on current sensors that allow convenient connection to the electrical network without requiring extensive wiring changes.
The clamp sensors support conductors with a maximum diameter of up to 15 mm, making them suitable for a wide range of field measurement applications.
User Interface
A simple menu-driven interface allows users to enter test parameters and view measurement results directly through the colour touchscreen. The intuitive design helps technicians perform verification procedures quickly and efficiently.
Onboard Memory and Data Management
All measurement readings and test results can be stored in the instrument’s onboard database. Stored information can include customer details, site information, and complete test results.
The saved data can later be transferred to the supplied PC software for report generation, printing, and long-term archiving.
Optional Bluetooth Printer
An optional Bluetooth wireless printer is available for immediate onsite printing of test results. The printer is battery powered and uses rechargeable batteries, allowing convenient printing without requiring a direct mains connection.
