Stationary Switchgear Test Systems ll ACTAS CCF160 is a stationary testing system designed for fully automated final factory testing, type testing, and functional testing of a wide range of switchgear equipment, including the drive units used in switchgear bays. Up to eight drive units can be tested sequentially, allowing efficient and systematic testing in production and service environments.
The system measures and evaluates all relevant electrical and mechanical parameters required to assess switching performance in real time. Testing can be performed without opening the main contact chambers or drive mechanisms. The operating status of the test system and all connected drive units is clearly displayed through an LED indicator panel.
A built-in logic module allows the system to reproduce drive-control functions. This enables testing of different drive units even when a dedicated control unit is not available. Analog and incremental input channels are provided for sensor measurements, while binary measurement channels allow testing of auxiliary contacts and main contact chambers.
The standard configuration provides independent control of three opening-coil circuits and two closing-coil circuits per pole. The included ACTAS V2.60 software supports a wide range of testing procedures, from automatically executed individual sequences to complete and comprehensive automated testing of switchgear devices.
Cabinet Design
The ACTAS CCF160 is installed in a standard 19-inch cabinet. All interfaces required for testing are provided on dedicated connection panels using multi-pin industrial connectors, making it convenient to connect external equipment and devices under test.
Built-in power supply units provide the required power for relay control and externally connected analog and digital sensors. Optional integrated power sources can be supplied for external actuators such as spring-charging motors, release coils, and heating systems. External sources can also be connected through the dedicated connection panel.
All connected sources, coils, and heating systems are controlled using relays, while internal sources are regulated directly by the test system. The indicator panel provides a clear overview of the system status and active releases.
For improved safety, an EMERGENCY STOP button allows all external voltages to be disconnected. An integrated safety switching device provides interruption of the safety circuit. The system meets international requirements through certifications including BG, UL, cUL, CCC, and GOST.
An additional safety binary input is available on the connection panel and can be used to monitor external safety devices, such as an access-door contact.
The cabinet is supplied through a mains connection panel and multi-pin industrial connectors with a maximum load of 32 A. An additional fused 25 A output is integrated into the emergency-stop circuit for supplying external sources.
Inputs and Outputs
The number of freely available external inputs and outputs depends on the selected equipment options. For example, controlling an internal source may require one analog output for the control signal, one analog input for feedback, and two binary outputs for release and AC/DC switching.
