ARTES RC4 – Robust Multifunctional Protection Relay Test System

The ARTES RC4 is a robust and versatile testing system designed for comprehensive protection relay testing. Its compact design and highly durable hard-shell case make it particularly suitable for demanding field applications, including renewable energy installations and outdoor testing environments.

With four voltage outputs, three current outputs, and an integrated control panel, the ARTES RC4 can perform three-phase tests on both static and digital protection relays without requiring an external PC.

High-Accuracy Amplifier and Measurement Technology

The ARTES RC4 combines high-precision amplifiers with versatile measurement inputs and straightforward operation, making it well suited for professional three-phase relay testing.

The four voltage and three current amplifier outputs operate independently in terms of phase, amplitude, and frequency. They include integrated protection against overloads and short circuits to ensure reliable operation during demanding test procedures.

The current amplifiers can deliver up to 3 × 25 A. For single-phase applications, the current outputs can be operated in parallel to provide a maximum output current of up to 60 A.

Ergonomic and Easy Operation

Integrated TJCP Operator Interface

The ARTES RC4 features an integrated TJCP operator interface with a high-resolution 5-inch touchscreen and smart-touch functionality. This allows many testing procedures to be configured and performed directly on the instrument without connecting an external PC.

The clearly structured interface provides intuitive access to test functions and settings. An ergonomic jog wheel enables real-time adjustment of parameters such as amplitude, phase angle, and frequency, with changes being applied immediately.

An illuminated ring integrated into the jog wheel provides visual information about the current system status during configuration and testing.

LED Status Indicators

The integrated control panel provides convenient access to the TJCP interface and all connections required for connecting the device under test.

Multiple LEDs indicate the operating status and current state of the ARTES RC4 inputs and outputs. This allows users to quickly identify active outputs and monitor the status of binary inputs and outputs during testing.

The ARTES RC4 is housed in a compact, highly durable hard-shell case designed for demanding field conditions.
