15KV Insulation resistance tester  MIT1525/2  is the simplest of Megger’s new advanced range of small, light 15KV insulation resistance testers for the testing and maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment.  Advanced MIT1525/2 supporting insulation resistance, dielectric absorption ratio (DAR), and polarization index (PI) testing. Re>Act test mode in 15KV Insulation  tester  MIT1525/2 allows the user to make accurate measurements by monitoring reabsorption current. This groundbreaking test mode can ensure reabsorption current does not result in incorrectly passing or failing insulation, helping to maintain safety. In addition, the test mode can be used to ensure dangerous return voltages to not occur. The high-performance guard terminal ensures measurement accuracy even in high-leakage conditions. PI Predictor  function  (PIP)

The Polarization Index test can be time consuming, with a 10 minute test (30 mins on 3 phase) and with multiple items to test, any time saved is a bonus. PIp does just that. The PI predictor function uses the first part of the IR curve to predict the rest at 5 minutes into the test. The PIp can start as early as 3 minutes into the test and will stop when it is confident in the prediction.
